Lexington County Medical Center is sponsoring their first annual Colon Cancer Bike Ride on Saturday, March 20th. This event is still being planned but they contacted us (Columbia Amateur Radio Club) as soon as they secured the date. They were told that "communications" is the most important aspect of an event and stressed that the safety of the riders was dependent on this (YEAH!!!). CARC voted several months ago to support this event and we now find ourselves ready to plan our portion of this ride. CARC openly invites all hams to participate in any of their meetings, workshops, and events. All hams are welcome to participate regardless of club affiliation or experience level.
